Focus on the Family ( http://family.org/) has a very well thought through family ministry. Doctor James Dobson is a man with a heart for the Chritian family and Christian family values.

He does not mince his words when it comes to modern life issues, and if you are offended it is a sign that maybe you are on the wrong side of the fence.

Visit their page, and look up the radio broadcasts. There's bound to be a radio station in your area that has some of their programs on schedule.

And finaly, my required controversial Bible related fact:

Many people question whether the prophecies in the Old Testament were written before they happened, Isaiahs prophecy about king Cyrus of the Persians for instance. But there is no doubt that the Old Testament was written before the New Testament. Consider the following then the prophecies regarding Jesus in the Old testament, and the New Testament verses that confirm these facts:

1: He would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23)
2: He would live in Nazareth of Galilee (Isaiah 9:1-2; Matthew 2:22-23, 4:15)
3: He would occasion the massacre of Bethlehems children (Jeremiah 31:15; Matthew 2:16-18)
4: His mission would unexpectedly include the Gentiles (Isiah 42:1-3,6; Matthew 12:18-21), and he would unexpectedly be rejected by the Jews, His own people (Psalm 118:22; 1 Peter 2:7)

I will post some more later, as well as secular texts that prove that the Biblical Characters exist.

Where the Bible begins...

I often read the Bible with little understanding of the greatness of the book I was reading. I now have a better understanding of the wonderful Word of God that we read daily. Consider the following. BTW, I got these facts from a wonderful booklet called “The facts on why you believe the Bible” by John Ankerberg and John Weldon…

Approximately 27%of the entire Bible contains prophetic material.

Prophecies are found in 62 of the 66 books of the Bible.

Of the Old Testaments 23,210 verses, 6,641 contain predictive material, or 28%.

Of the New Testaments 7,914 verses, 1,711 contain predictive material, or 21.5%

Thus for the entire Bibles 31,124 verses, 8,352 contain predictive material, or 27% of the whole.

Of this 8,352 prophetic verses, about 22%, more than 1,800 verses (including 318 in the New Testament) deal with the second coming of Jesus.

If you take this into consideration, the return of Jesus Christ has the same chance of being fulfilled as all of the other prophecies, 100%!

I haven't posted in a while... mybad ;D

Been a hectic few months... maar nou ja...

I visited some internet forums on several subjects recently and discovered that every discussion that borders on the scientific or the religious degenerates in to God bashing.

From here on I have a new mission for my blog.

To state the religious view. No, the Christian view. This will now be a Christian Blog.

Since the forums on evolution, science and religion are often patrolled by highly educated atheists that cant wait to jump on an unsuspecting believer like myself, I will try and at least offer to the visitor here a place where he or she can relax and read a biased *grin* view of Christianity and the Bible.

Visit the forums if you like! Really, have engaged in many fulfilling discussions with other people on these and respect and love them dearly.

But be warned, if you visit here, you will be Bible bashed.

I decided to do it on my own blog, since it is your choice to visit, and your choice to leave. No discussion here unless you invite it, if you want to argue a point, the forums are there for that my friend.

And a friend you are, if you choose to visit and join in a controversial journey.
